I would like new shocks.
Anybody think I can stuff fox floats in. 17.5 center to center.
I would like to know if anyone has tried this.
Thanks for the opinions.

fox floats
I have Fox Floats in My SXr Mod, Ski Stance has been narrowed to 40" and use Apex Fox Floats with modified 97 SX upper brkts. I needed to get the front end up with the 162 track

Do a quick search and will find the info you need. The problem you will have is the bump steer unless you go very wide with your ski stance. There have been a few on here that have built or contemplated building a rack-steering set-up to elimnate the bump steer. I finished mine up last week and it works like a charm. The worst part was getting the angle of the steering rods to match the anlge of the radius rods throughout the travel of the suspension. I am pleased to say that after some trial and error I now have about 2-3mm of bump steer total between BOTH skis (originally about 6 inches).
There was one person on here that tried to run some long shocks without any mods and reported broken trailing arms near the spindles along with the expected horrible handling. here are a couple of links to look at. There also is a link to instructions for installing the factory race set-up on the sx chassis floating around here somewhere. I would love to get my hands on that set-up....
