For you guys that have tried both ways, what sled is comparable to my Viper as far as handling, heating, fuel capacity, wind protection and overall comfort?
I'm not really looking to replace the Viper, just keeping my eye peeled for a somewhat alike machine in 4 stroke.
Doesn't have to have the ear to ear grin acceleration power the Viper has.
Just wondering.
thx

As far as handling the four strokes feel heavier in the front end because thats exactly what they are...heavier

Fuel capacity is smaller on a 4 storke, but they get better mileage, I've rode our Viper mtns with a Vector mtn, and we were both empty at the same time, they went to a smaller tank for the weight issue

If you want a sled comparable to a Viper(mtn) my vote is a Vector(mtn). I've never rode a Nytro but they are somewhat similar to a Vector, 10 more hp and an all new chassis...and then the Apex(mtn), just plain old more power and snort than a Viper

So again, Viper Mtn (2 stroke) = Vector Mtn (4 stroke)....they are very very close, just the weight difference...I've put seat time on both

The newer Vectors are very nice sleds. Why not try something different?

What type of riding do you mostly do?

If you sit on the seat and ride mostly trails, the Vector is really nice especially in the newer chassis.

Mostly trail and probably on the seat or hanging off the side of the seat 85% of the time, standing the remainder.
Need risers if I was to stand longer.

A vector is the closest thing...but I would test an apex for the ear to ear grin, if you like is sit on the seat. It is going to be heaver but the raw power is really fun!!!A fx nytro is a blast to ride also, but it is more erratic then your viper( more work to ride). The nytro is your standing and ride sled... It is more for the bumps!! I have ridden all three for an extend amount of time and for a real nice trail ear to ear grin sled I would setup an apex!! All of them get better mileage, the vector sips fuel.
