Is there a special puller to get a comet clutch off of an early 80's srv? (the ones that had a comet from the factory)I have one i installed on my 77 exciter a couple years ago, i tried to take it off to adjust the belt deflection, and no go? tried a couple different pullers for comets. Is it just stuck that bad? I hope not

MY 1983 VMAX HAS THE YAMAHA '' COMET '' PRIMARY CLUTCH ON IT. PULLER FOR THAT CLUTCH IS NOT INPOSSIBLE TO FIND, BUT NOT EASY EITHER. VERY ODD BALL TAPER ON THAT CLUTCH. I DID FIND ONE AT A VERY OLD YAMAHA DEALERSHIP. PROBLEY SAME DEAL FOR THAT SRV. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I had trouble with one a couple years ago. I think
the puller bottomed out before it pressed against the crank.
Had to lengthen the end of the puller.

Just Got A Handfull Of Pullers From Our Old Yamaha Dealership, Hopefully One Will Work, Will See At Lunch Time, Thanks For The Replies Guys
