yeah could use a little more color, the one farthest away in the side pic looks like the dark is higher up into the curve on the electrode, that one looks the best, but you need to your piston wash into acount with this, tells more of the tale, also different fuels will affect the color of the plug

Plug pictures
Thanks for the input. These plugs were pulled after just running up and down the street a couple times, no real time on them yet and definately not full throttle. I just installed a set of SLP's on my 02' 7MM last week(set up to SLP specs) and the temps were around 23 deg. and the plugs were definately browner.I took it out and basically did the same thing this week when the temps were around 10deg. and these pictures are what the plugs looked like. I ride between 0-2000 feet and according to SLP's set up sheet for 0 to 20 degrees they recommended 147.5 across on the mains, needles set to #3 (stock) pilots are stock(45),everything else is stock. I have since changed to 150 mains and will try that today (12deg.). The thing I don't want to do is run on "the edge", a little fat right now is ok to me because of our temp swings right now. I don't want to get to the cabin and it's 20 deg. and have the temps fall below zero over night and it does happen frequently.
I have noticed, that when I let of the gas at the end of the street to turn around it falls off and and won't let me touch the throttle again until it has came basically all the way down to idle, then you can get back on the throttle. Could this be a pilot adjustment? Carbs are freshly cleaned, throttle cable set right(loose). The SLP sheet says to run pilot screws at 1 1/2 turns out. That is stock and I have never been able to run my screws that far in. I have always had to run them out 2 turns which is what I have it set at now. Is it possible that I will have to go out further? Or maybe go to next size pilot jet? I also have moved the pilot screws out to 2 1/4, along with the 150 mains and see how it works. Thanks for the posts, Soc

Here's a follow up from my earlier post today. Went out and ran it around more with the 150's and the plugs looked much better alot browner, but clean. Temps today held around 18 deg.. Also moving my pilot screws out did not help it from falling on it's face on decelleration, I had even loosened the throttle cable even more just to make sure that wasn't it. So I disconnected the TORS and it runs fine now , No bog, no idle hang . At least I found it. Soc
