hey folks,
I have a '83 SRV that the engine grenaded in 4 years ago. The engine was fo far gone it was unrebuildable. (siezed crank, spun bearing in cases, pots scored and were already bored -060 over) so it has been sitting in the barn since. The rest of the sled is in IMMACULATE condition! so i finally managed to find myself a rebuildable engine at a salvage yard i will overhaul and install. Im just wondering what year my replacement engine is, as the wrecker didnt know. the serial number on the fan housing is 8Y0-001497.
any differences in these engines between years??
