Ok TY, I need a little help. I leave from school tomorrow to go home. While at home, my Viper is in a freidns shop having the motor put in. I am sure I will be back on here asking some more questions somewhere along the way about that.
My question is how tough is it to take my seat off of my sled??? I have a 2002 Viper. Also, what is needed to take the seat off? Do I need to have the skid out??? Any help/tips would be appreciated. I am taking the seat off so I can polish the tunnel. I also need to see about getting the rip on the back of the seat, under the tail light fixed.
Thanks!

I have not removed a seat from a Viper but it should be very similar to the removal process for the seat on the SRX. On the SRX, you unsnap the snaps at the lower front of the seat. Inside the storage compartment, there are 2 nuts on studs which come up from the tunnel. Remove these nuts and lift off the seat. You will have to disconnect the connector near the front of the seat for the tailight. The Viper should be very similar. Overall, easy to do.

its easy, just reach in the luggage flap and undo the 2 nuts thet require a `12mm wrench best if its ratcheting lift seat off the studs and unclip the taillight conecter where the seat meats the fuel tank.

Open back of seat (storage compartment) and remove the (two) nuts that hold the seat to tunnel. Gently lift and pull seat straight back (slowly) until you can reach the tail-light connector to unfasten which is located between the seat and tunnel just before the gas tank.

See, this is why I come here first. Screw calling the dealer, they would take longer to get a mechanic to come out front to talk to me then the time it took to get 3 people to reply!

LOL, you sound like my dealer now!!!
No, truely my dealer is super cool. Kind of sucks considering my dealer is about an hour away, meanwhile there is a Yammy dealer about 20 mins away, but they are EXPENSIVE!

You could always drop off the sled at your Yamaha Dealer while you head to your "Dealer". Your sled will be done by the time you get back. LOL.
