That is bad information.
The answer is NO. The Viper valves are longer than the SRX valves, and will not work in an SRX cylinder.

my bad i bought a set of what i was told was viper valves from a local and they matched all my srx valves .....so it sounds like the guy i got them from didnt know what they were from ....gota be a srx ....thanks ryan ...and sorry for the bad info i am gonna see that guy soon ....good thing i havent sold them to someone with a viper ...time to put them with the srx valves ....

Actually... Heh, from experience I can tell you, they will work, but yes they are too long. When you take the Viper valve out, it will be nice and shiny, and slightly shorter.
I wish there was a better way to learn then by my mistakes.

In other words, no, they don't work, and will hit the piston.

If the stops are still in place the valve wont make it to the pistons,yamaha thought of that.
