Just wondering if anyone has ever switched out the yamaha secondary clutch to a arctic cat secondary? I have had my 94 v-max for a few years and always knew that the secondary was not stock because it had a roller set up on it. I am in the process of putting a long track on it and want to mess with the clutching on it. So I looked up the part number that was stamped on the helix and it came back as a Arctic cat part number? Then after looking at pictures it is for sure a cat clutch. Just thinking that they have more aftermarket for them then the older yamaha secondarys?
Looking for any info. THanks

Reicharts was really big with the AC/ Yamaha secondary set up. Had a couple worked great. Don't know if they are still in buisness.

i run this setup on mine and my buddies and we have raced this setup exclusively as to US it is much easier setup and to make changes and more predictable setup with more options for changability but I run with a polaris primary clutch too with the arctic secondary as adjustability at a premium with this setup and options

Whoever the previous owner was must have had a jackshaft made or redid something
If anyone is looking to do this Micro Belmont makes a arctic jackshaft for SRX's

Well when I got the sled it had a ton of aftermarket stuff on it and that came with it. Funny you mentioned the Reicharts as it had a set of pipes on there. I tired to search but came up short. Now that I am long tracking it I want to mess with the clutching. Also the jackshaft does not look like my other v-max. Micro Belmont is only a few miles from me.

the yamahas are splined and the cats are keyed

micro belmont makes shaft just for the application.I us eto have one at one time but sold it.

^^^yep just put a new one in buddies after his bearing went bad and took out the shaft
They have them sitting on the shelf ready to go
And cat secondaries are a dime a dozen so nice simple fairly cheap mod that if in the right hands pays huge dividends for ease of use and application
