Direct bolt in heel clickers

Ok I have a direct bolt in heel clicker kit 40-10.kit. Stock motor, stock secondary helix. I have 4.7 grams in the heel, and 3.3 grams in the tip. Nothing in the center hole and using the gray heelclicker spring. Secondary is the stock 47 helix with 70 degree twist. Brand new belt, clutch offset is right and so is center to center distance. Comes out of the hole like an animal, beats my buddy's 800 mxz to about 80 mph. Then it only climbs to a bout 95mph. Thats all I can get out of her. Any help would be appreciated. Also has stock 14.5 rollers. Thanks
 
what is the tach reading from a dead stop to top end? If anyting thats the most important.
 
should be FASTER

wher is the RPMs at. should be 8500. is it a 121 136 or ? belt defletion? sounds a little tight hard too say should do around 115 mph.i whish we had snow like u guys got in .ny. .u will get it dialed in befor april. ;)!
 
the Heelclickers are not a top speed weight more for drag racing and corner to corner but if you can reach 100mph with them your doing pretty good, and also your going too need TRACTION for the Heelclickers as they put more power to the track by gripping the belt harder on take off
 
that's a steep helix trying to get top speed out of the clickers.Run a multi cam.
Make shure the clickers aren't bottoming pon the arm before there fully shifted.i had a set that did that once and had to gring a little off the clutch for them to clear,that results in a huge loss on top end.I ran a 48-34 micro belmont helix it would run mid 120's on the speedo of course it was off.Got the set up from MrViper.That was all stock just clutching.

Do you have a picture on where you have to grind off abit, it would be helpful to the top speed heelclicker guys on here

Bluemonster is going to be mad that you were able to hit mid 120's mph with heelclickers

Set up?

Where did you get that set up? You are pretty far off from what I have had good luck with. Ryan is exactly right in his post above....the finish angle on your helix is way too steep. My guess is that your RPM's are dropping on top end.....unless you have a stiff secondary spring wrapped right up in there to compensate which will absolutely KILL your top end. You do need to find a helix in the 48/34 or 48/36 range. With that helix you can use a red secondary spring (stock) and you need to get rid of the grey spring in the primary and use a red HC spring. If you do a search of my posts you'll find a real good set up for your sled.

hc's red spring and a 48_40 advantage helix with a 136" @103 on gps on snow. Changing your helix is needed to get higher top speed.
 
Alright, I ran it for a little rpm testing today and here's what I got....Hits about 7800 rpms and pulls till about 80mph. Stays flat there from a dead stop. Then starts climbing to just under 8000 rpms. I pulled the clutch back apart and checked weights for hitting. With the spring out and rocking the weights to full shift position they do not hit the clutch. When I installed them I filed a little away because I felt they were too close for comfort. But I did check again. I got the original setup online...not sure where...wasn't on the forum though. I did a little playing with the weights. Now have 4.3 in the tip, center open, and 3.3 in the heel. Now rpms are at 8200 from a dead stop to about 80 again then it slides back to about 8000. Just took 2 runs like this. Seems a little better but still off. This setup is from the setup guide that came with the weights. Also grey spring still.

for the speed heel clicker are not the way to go ............been there done that

you need to run the red HC spring and get a multi angle helix, as you are overshifting and the reason for rpms dropping on top end. get a 48/36 or 48/34 helix like already stated.

OK. Just a feeler but does anyone have a 48/34 or 48/36 helix ot there abouts to sell me? If not is there a website anyone knows I can get one from? I see ther is a 50/36 for sale here on the forum. Would that work for me? Thanks for the help guys.

put an ad in the wanted section, i always have good results there, except when i tried for a zx2 skid but i knew that was a longshot lol
 
Sorry don't have a pic.Take your primary cover off and the spring out now move your weight so it's fully shifted out and you can see where the arm touches on the primary.
