Will the rear skid from a '93 Exciter II L/E fit into an '89 Exciter and bolt up without having to drill new mounting holes?

no. two totally different skids. but it can be done.

Should not be too tough, some careful measuring & a few hole locations & a drop bracket for some extra lift & ya should have it.
I will be doing the same thing a bit later.
Got a super clean 88 Exciter that I will be dropping a 93 skid in with 1.500 track. Looks to be very doable!!
