I know its not a Yamaha, but its not mine either. My father in law survived a real bad case of tounge cancer this summer, and decided at age 62 he wanted a sled again. So he goes to a sale last week in Ws and comes home with a real nice 95 583 formula. I already had to drain the crap 2 year old gas, and cleaned the carbs on it. What I need to know is what kind of oil can be run in it with the exhaust valves, and it has 3500 miles on it do these vavles need cleaned. It seems to ride ok on the grass, but can the HPG shocks be freshened on it. I figure if he is going to ride, I might as well make it a good experience for him. Thanks Maxdlx
I would run Doo oil in that machine and take them out and clean the carbon deposit off the valves....not sure on the HPG but I dont think those are rebuildable...but dont quote me on that....call a doo dealer
