I have a 98 vmaxx 500 xtc and am currently running polaris premium synthetic blend oil because that is what my dad and mom ride, and use.
Is there anything wrong with this oil?
What should I run for oil?
Should I use full-synthetic?

this subject has been beaten to death, ressurected shot and stabbed, run over with a steam roller then pureed in a blender
do a search and you can read nonstop till spring, bottom line everyone has an opinion on it and there is no clear cut answer other than semi synthetic trumps conventional, and synthetic trumps semi synthetic

That oil is fine, if that's what's readily available to you go with it,or yamalube would be fine too nothing wrong with that.

This is an internet site and you will get lots of keyboard surfers giving you lots of advice they found off of other sites from others who believe they know the perfect answer to any question. believe those who have been trained or schooled and can prove it and sit back and enjoy the fun watching the bickering back and forth about the best oil for your sled.

I agree with you...to a point, for instance......WeSled2 said:believe those who have been trained or schooled and can prove it
go down to your local GM dealer and talk to a factory trained and ASE cert mechanic and ask what oil one should use in ones car he'll tell ya...so you should believe it because he's a cert mechanic?,,just because he's a certified mechanic doesn't make him and expert on lubricants, half the guy's i know around here don't even know with out looking on a bottle what the currant API specs are or what the last one was,,lol.
but yea i hear ya and agree fully!!!!,just use what you think is best.
