Does anyone know if I can quickly hone the cylinders for new pistons or is it nikasil. There are some slight scratches in it from a partially melted piston. I am changing both but want to clean up the one cylinder. Thanks for any help.

iron bore, not nikasil. I don't believe Yami nicasiled any of their air cooled 340 sleds as the motor was the same for like a million years.
