Believe me, I searched all the other posts for help, and I still have a question.

Last year I did the Maxx Perf long travel rear end kit. This year, I tightened up the limiter straps to level the skid out a little more, and now I don't get much "sit in" at the control rods(they are adjustable Maxx Perf). The gap is much larger on the top end and very little on the bottom end. I'm pretty sure I don't need a huge adjustment, just a tweak. I also had to remove the control rod bolts when reinstalling the skid and last year I didn't have to. Obviously, the shortened limiter straps changed my setup. So, where should I look to make the adjustments? My guess is take some preload off the center shock? I weigh about 225 in riding gear and the shocks were setup that way.

Thanks for your help, once again.

once you get your limiter straps set where you want them, with the weight of the sled on the track, set the center shock at zero preload. This meaning tighten the nut up by hand until the spring can't move up or down, and then give it 1/2 more turn. Then put the rear in the center fra, and set your control rod gap with that sprin. If you need to go past the tolerences of the spring, ie 15mm tighter when it say 10mm max, then change the fra setting to compensate. Maxdlx
