Hello! Need some help on a recently purchased 77 GP 440. What size track is needed? Are there other models that use the same track? Also, the frame is shot, so I'm trying to replace it from the motor mount back. Are there any other models that have the same specs that I might be able to weld and get by for the remainder of the year. Also, looking for a frame, so anyone that could help me, I would greatly appreciate! Thanks, Shaun

Looking at a 2005 book from royal distrib. 04-946-75k.....
fits 77-78 GP440 , 77 PR440, 77-78 GS340 , 84-89 PZ480, 80 SRV540
78-80 SRX440, 76-77 STX440 /340,, ..76-81 EX340/440
These books are often incorrect , but sounds right for the 77 year sleds.
15 inch , 2.52 pitch 46 drivers..
I don't see any other brands that will be the right width in the rails listed.
Rusted out tunnel common..I have scrapped a few and have at least 3 frames
that would fit yours but they are rough and a days drive away in Ont.
They also bust under the engine where they are double walled , check it
out before bothering to weld much ...The susp cross rods hole the tunnel
very well as long as the seat doesn't fall down...it just fells a little "flexible"
under you ...LOL..Make sure the recoil air scoop has not stuffed the heads
with "cat tails" weeds , grass etc....Tend to over heat gradually over years
of acumulation , then poof, no more compression...
Try to find a donor sled with a good track and tunnel,,,the engine will fit back
to diff years , but 77 had better susp then the rest..
Good luck
