need jetting help?

i have a 99 700 with power inc pipes,airbox mod,boyson rad valves and reed spacers.My exhaust temp is 1280 with 145 mains and the same temp when i put 148 in it. any ideas on how to cool it down? what is meltdown temp i have got it up to 1400 and didnt melt down so i want to know the safe zone. also i am running spx pistons.and i am up 4000 feet and at 15 degrees

1280 is good aluminum melts at 1375. is your temp reading at half or full throttle? if its at half rasie your needle to cool it down. but if its getting hotter than 1280 at full throttle then up the main.
 
The numbers mean nothing without checking plugs and wash. It's all relative to the motor and probe placement in the pipe. Your sled might be fine at 1280 whereas mine might burn down at 1150. Not possible to give you an accurate "your safe at this" number as they are different. You'd be better off taping the gauge, confirming your plugs and wash at the given throttle positions, and then looking at the gauge to see what the numbers are. Then you will know that at xxx number you are safe.
 
my temps are 1280 all the way through from quarter to full and riding it now it goes to 1350 with load on it and the middle cylinder is really cold about 125 degrees i changed the plug and cap and wire but it changed nothing. so i tore it apart and the piston is good.do these sleds have problems with coils?or other electrical.
