Routing of Oil Lines
It seems that on these sleds the oil pumps over time decrease the amount of oil supplied to the engine, so to be on the safe side many prefer to premix to alleviate the possibility of the pump failing and ruining parts that are getting increasingly difficult to find. On the air box there is a small rectangle imprinted on the box. The cable to the oil pump has an adjuster nut on it in the middle of the cable and you spread this when it is not running and the gap should match the rectangular imprint on the air box. This is how you adjust the pump. The only thing I would be cautious of is if the cable is stretched after years of use, I would advise lengthening the gap a little more than the imprint to ensure it is not starved for oil. The feed line off the oil reservoir connects to the pump and the other end connects to the Keihin carburetor. If it doesn't have the original carburetor on it anymore you would have to drill and tap a hole on the intake which should work and turn in a male hose connector to connect the oil hose from the pressure side of the pump. I have an owners manual around my house somewhere for this year, and I know I still have it but have no idea where to find it.
