I put a 1.5" camoplast track in my '98 XTC 700 with reverse, and the track is hitting the front cooler. Can I change my drivers to fit the 1.5" track?

Should fit

That track should fit without driver changes, unless someone put in 10t drivers, which is very unlikely. To have the most room. All tunnel & cooler protectors need to be removed. Even with a notched track, we have found that things just fit better and perform more efficiently with them removed.

I just pulled a 1 1/4" Camo out of it and had no problems with that one. Before I plled the 1 1/4" it looked like their would be plenty of room, but once I put axle back in track hit cooler.
I know in '98 Yamaha made an XTCP 700 with 1.5". Maybe that had smaller drivers.

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

I had a 97 XTC with a Camolast 1.5 track, it had approx 3/8" clearance between the track and front heat exchanger. This was with the stock 9 tooth drivers.
It is a tight fit when trying to get the axle in, but once it's in and the track tensioned up there should be plenty of clearance.

Maybe my problem is that I don't have skid in yet and no tesion. The axle is in place but the track hits the cooler big time probaly 3/8" hitting.

I HAD A 97' W/ STOCK DRIVER'S AND PUT A 1.5 CAMO IN IT NO PROBLEM YOU'LL PROBABLY END UP RUNNING IT A LITTLE TIGHTER, NOT FOR CLEARENCE, BUT IT MAY START RACHETING ON YOU WHEN YOU GO OFF TRAIL.

AFTER YOU GET THE SUSP. IN AND TRACK TENSIONED IT WILL BE FINE. ONLY THING IS SNOW TEND'S NOT TO CLEAN OUT AS GOOD WITH STOCK 9'S IN IT. STILL AN EXCELLENT CHOICE TO GO 1.5, GOOD LUCK.

I had a 1.5" in my SRX and no problems. It does look like it is not going to fit, but pull the track over the drivers (maybe have someone else do it while you look) and you will see it has plenty of clearance.

Like everyone else said, remove the cooler protectors, put the suspension in and let 'er rip.
