Ok....got the front end apart. The tie rod needs changing( tie rod end bent) and the plate where the ski post and tie rod connect too needs changing. Any ideas what that plate is called? Does anyone know where I could find good used parts to fix my sled. Any help would be appreciated? Thanks.
What sled? It sounds like that plate is part of the trailing arm. Post a pic of what you want to change. Check the classifieds for parts. Lots of sleds being parted out.

Sounds like you're talking about the stearing arm. It is splinded and fits over the spindle and has the tie rod attached at the other end, correct?. Another member just broke and replaced one on another thread. Sorry no help on where to find one. Good luck.

Go here: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx
and look up you year & model of sled. Once the main page for you sled pulls up you can use the headings on the left to find the front suspsension which will then show the exploded views and list the part out by name and Yamaha part number.
