Oil Pump Setting!

I adjusted my throttle cable tension today. I looked at the oil pump setting as well. It was close to the 20.0mm setting. Which way do I turn it to increase oil consumption, ie increase or decrese the 20mm gap from the nut to the oil adjustor. I think the sled is running a little lean and would like to increase the consumption abit. Is it neccessary to loosen the adjustor nut before pulling out the adjustor link to get an accurate measurement? Thanks for your help.

To increase oil consumption you decrease the gap setting.
