nice vid shows the major difference between stock and aftermarket. But my question is how can you tell the difference between their race can and trail can. When I picked up my viper it had a mbrp can on it but not sure if it is trail or race.

There might be a code/label on it somewhere...or not, I'm not sure!!! You might also be able to tell from looking at the inside of the can through the outlet pipe.
I have heard they are really close though in sound. Does it sound similar to mine or a bit different?

SAWEET, but I don't think that vid does the MBRP race can justice. They have a really nice sound and they're VERY LOUD...

the race can is smaller in size compared to the trail can ! just go to www.mbrp.com and look at the two cans and you will notice the difference!

I purchased a mbrp race can at a swap meet and was told it wasn't much louder than the stock can. Picked it up for 25.00 and gave it a shot. The first ride was unbelievably loud to the point I got a headache. Loading into an enclosed trailer was obnoxious. It was immediately removed and sold for 25.00 to someone on TY.
