What helix should I run
Sanka if you go back and read some old posts you'll see the ol tryed and tru set up for any stock SRX is with loaded 8DN-20s and a 54/44 helix, because you may still over rev with the 51/43 because it's not enough helix for a x, rpms will be spot on.

you got use the compleat set up tho not just a few or most of it you need all the pices. try them two and see what works for you!

did some one change out your wights at one time? 00 came with 20s,a 51/43 works better with 00s

51-43 will not work with the 8dn-00 u will have a flat mid curve ......maybe turk know it but i try it and it doesnt run good

sanka what kind of riding are you going to be doing with this sled 90% of the time??

8dn-00 are a good top end weight, they sqweeze the belt tight at top end lots of tip weight, the 8dn-20 are more trail friendly, they shift out smooth and even through out the entire rpm range.

green or red for secondary,,,red for more top end wo riding and green for trails for better back shifting.

70-80 wrap

Np...

Spend some time searching the site sanka tons of great clutching info here lots of good reading, good luck bud post back with how your making out may help someone else.

with the 8dn-00 fully loaded get a g-w-g primary spring, find a stock 47 helix and put a green secondary spring in wrapped at 70 degrees and it will pull like a freight train and it has great back shift for trail riding.

I tried the 8dn-20 fully loaded with a w-w-w primary spring and a 54/44 helix with a green spring wrapped at 70 and my machine wouldn't run good with it.

I come out of the hole strong pulling from 8200rpms right up to 8500rpms and staying right there. yes my sled is 100% stock with the exception of 144 trail studs and the clutching I have in it

what were you experiencing problem wise w/that setup?

It was a dog out of the hole and it took forever to get it to finally hit 8500rpms. The set up I have now pulls hard right out of the hole and climbs right to 8500rpms and stays there
