Hi Guys,
I have a couple tuning questions. I am getting a bad off-ide bog. I am at about 9000ft. My plugs look good nice tan color. Also, I am getting an excissive amount of smoke at idle. And I need to run with the choke on. Thanks.

Super duper, absolutely, without a doubt in the world the pilots are clean? When you cleaned them did you hold them up to a light and could see a nice, ROUND hole through all of them? Are the fuel screw set at the correct amount of turns?
Next thing to check would be clutching. Is the belt really worn and sitting down in the secondary so that it's like taking off in 2nd or 3rd gear? Everything clean, nothing worn down, like the rollers or the buttons?
All places that I would start. Hope you find it, good luck!

if you have to run at idle with the choke on then the pilots are not clean, or is it jetted for that altitude? its running lean, for me tan is to light for trail, i like closer to brown,
Float Levels are too low!! What is your fuel screw set at? Also make sure to check the pilot air jet on the back of the carburetor to be sure it's clean. I ran into the same problem and no1chevy has helped me out.

Riding yesterday, buddies MM started getting a low end bog (from idle to 1/4 or maybe 1/2). It was not constant, only happened twice. One plug had a silvery look to it. We got off the mountain, pulled the carbs. One pilot jet was completed blocked, and the other was obstructed.
Havn't had it back out yet.
It had been preseasoned, but he doctored up the full tank of over-summer gas and ran it through. This was the second tank, about 1/2 way through. Coincidence? I don't know.

sagerider i would look at cylinder that was silver NOT GOOD, should never run old fuel, its not like the old days, while the fuel sits in tank it goes bad on both sides of the filter

Silver means it is starting to burn down. It's metal fragments from the cylinder. Do a compression check, I bet that side's going to be low...

Next time she bogs hit the choke right away see if it comes out of it.

What do you have in it for mains, pilots, needles, and clutch set up?
