Went for a ride with a buddy tonight-- he had his new-to-him 03 Viper ER, stopped at an intersection and got off his sled for a minute and left it running, snowing pretty good out. When he got back on his sled he plugged his heated shield back in and lost his headlight and tach. Still had tail/brake lights and hand /thumbwarmers still worked. I thought it might have blown something because his heated shield wire connection was wet. Anyone know where to start with this one? Are there any fuses that could've blown? His heated shield is wired under the handlebar pad-- the positive is spliced into the blue/white stripe, and the neg. is spliced into the left handwarmer. Any help would be appreciated.

There are fuses under the hood in a small fuse block in front of your right leg as you sit on the sled. They are right to the right of the pull start rope. If your check those and they are fine, I recently had some trouble with the dash/tach/speedo plug in causing some similar short out type conditions that I solved by ensuring that the plug was seated correctly. Hope that works.

Thanks- we found it. It was the fuse you were talking about.
