Here I go again. Found someone locally advertising a 1982 SRX 440. While I know that there is a 99.9% probability that it is a 1981 SRX mis-advertised as a 1982, I still can't help but get a little excited. Has anyone heard of an SRX 500 being re-engined with a 440? I guess I just like the hunt I guess, like when I got all excited for finding the ultra-rare 79 SRX Fur-Forty.

The sled was sold from the time I called this morning to the time they told me to call back this afternoon. I guess I'll never know what it really was........ $1200 was the asking price, and I had it ready......

Yes it is rare over there, but not so rare over here the 8R9. Then the 79 srx 8J0 is more rare here:-) But the most rare is the srx440 81(8m6) it did newer came here.

But im sure many know a lot about it.

If someone would pay me a lot for a 8R9, i could find one.

Different countries, and different story:-)

Contact the seller, get the name of the guy that bought it. At least to confirm the ####

thats funny we have a ton of 8M6's here.... how about we meet in the middle somewhere and swap!

Yes, Greenland seems to be the logical middle point. How long would it take to drive from Norway to Greenland? I think it's about a 26 hour drive from here, if we cut across Canadia.

Yes your correct its a lot of srx440e over there, as i know here is two in Norway that have bought one from Us. And the guy that bought my
8R9-0101xx is a friend with the owner of one of them.

The VIN is confimed to Jon B that know alot about srx500 and srx440 and helped me out to get a few parts i didnt expect to find by myself, thanks to him that i started digging deeper for information about this "rare" sled.

Here is one at one of the craiglist in Norway know, asking Nok 70000,- for it.

As far i has understood, there shall be nine 8R9 in the US, but not all have the VIN number in the tunnel.

Swap will newer be a option for me with a 8M6.
