hi all, i have a 91 phazer 2 with a polaris 133x1.5 track. im looking for a little more bite in the clutches. if i take off slow they squeak a little bit, a little more torque wouldnt hurt either. is there stiffer springs i can run? i dont know much about clutches.

you must compare the engagement tenstion with the full shift tension to choose a spring. The spring tension at any given compression tells you what a simple spring change can do for you.
To make more bite in the clutch at a specific rpm, you need more weight (or less spring tension). Where that weight is located on the ramp angle will determine when the clutch "bites"
84 Phazer primary clutching was the best accleleration for the YPZ clutch. But, you can't use that in a YXR clutch. I forget if the 91 Phazer had the YXR. The ExciterII did have the YXR
