i have a 77 enticer 250 i have played with the carb bought nos yamaha gaskets for the carb still cant get it to take off good has a bad bog was wondering if any one knows what boot that will fit so i can put a mikuni on it
is the clutch moving freely? the 78 we have has a powerbloc clutch on it that i never got all the parts for so it was set way heavy and it would always bog on takeoff, but run like a bugger and pas 340cc sleds easily.
yes the clutch moves freely just rebuild the clutches but yes that is how mine runs i think i might just put a stiff spring in it

I've got a similar problem, same model but dif. engine.
I have 19?? (don't know the year) 340 Enticer the little squirt rides. Fresh cleanup on carbs and clutches. Ran good for a while, now it seems to have a bad low end bog when hot/ been running a while. It did it last week, and had one oil fouled plug... replaced. This time start bogging a bunch, but plugs looked good.
Going to try end dig into it more this week...

I have an 81 enticer 250 for my son - I was sick of screwing around with the Keihnin(sp?) carb, so I threw on my spare Mikuni Carb from an et340....custom jobbie and an experiment really.....after install it idled great, but had issues with it lately starting etc......did a compression check and I'm at 80psi with a fast drop in pressure.....new rings have been ordered!
1) Took flange from et340 and made the holes wider (not larger) - straight bolt on (will put the heat shield on later)
2) Threw on the Mikuni fuel pump (and I will premix now - oil inj. disconnected)
3) Threw on Carb...test run went well til my compression turned to crap....will update in a week or so.....(carb looks crooked, but I straightened that out). Again, test run started good and idles well - mid range bog - on open throttle the thing flew...mid bog may be a jetting thing, a choke cable thing or a air screw thing. My ET340 ran crappy this morning mid range bog til I fixed that stupid choke - then off to the races.
