help. fule gauge &tack stoped working on my 98 srx 700
are you getting any flickering of the headlight too ? quit completly ? or flickering tach and gas guage ? kinda sounds like rub thru in wire harness under the motor 98 srx`s are known for this .....and most likely the blue wire .....mine was .....do a search on rub thru .....unbolt motoe remove harness and look it over very good ...than tape each wire seperately ....than reroute harness across top of the carbs and across the top of clutch cover ,,,,

just happened to me, exact same thing! light brown wire broken under engine
