my sled runs pretty good but at top end only the rpms drop down about 2000 and when i slow down alittle rpms come back up . i think its stock and i want to mod it to gain hp turk said i was missing about 15 hp and would like some opinions on whats wrong and what to do.
U said you were turning 9k rpm,s before they drop. Please tell the whole story when asking for help as it makes quite a big difference.
sounds like he got to mutch weight in tip ...but maybe engine got less power for some reason

its only at top throttle when it kicks down. Seems like overshifting. when it slows down a bit like 10mph all is fine . i think nothing has ever been done to it and it has high kms.

warx22 on turks comment start over from the beginning...whats your set up whats rpm's and the problem so we can try to figure it out..

got my SXR dialed in.Got stock 8dg-00 weights.4.5 inner and 4.5 outer, stock primary spring,red primary at 80 wrap,stock 47 helix. Yesturday I was over-reving to about 8700 wot,so took out 3.6 and put in 4.5 in tip and that dropped it.Today wot..climbs to 8400 and works up to 8500 no more as I am increasing speed.Also usung 19 tooth upper gear with the 1.24 ripsaw track.Has great pull for a 600, lots of torque off the line.

give it a try and see what your numbers are at..wot rpm and such.Also we need to know exactly what your clutches consist of also.
