Well finally the Viper was started tonight by my father. I was not able to go to the shop as I had a snowmobile club meeting, so he went over himself to put coolant in and start it up for the first time. Started first pull, and I guess it sat and purred. He never took it for a drive or anything.
He didnt have it completly full of coolant, but said there was a red light on the dash that was lite up. He said it was solid, not blinking. I am hoping this is an overheat light????

The red light could mean overheart, low gas, or one other I believe. The red light will light up and there will be a gas pump, coolant symbol, and the other if there is that will also show up on the main display right above where the speed is displayed.

Ya, I am guessing it is probably coolant, but cannot say for sure. My dads eyes are not the best, he couldnt see the symbol. He just saw the red light..... hes getting old.

Hey it's low on gas, I just bought a viper this year and it had the same thing(not blinking) and I put some gas in and it went away, so no worries just low on some gas!

Ya, it was low on gas. I went over and started it tonight, and was like
"Hey old man, did you check the gas gauge???"(knowing the issue as soon as I saw the light)
"Uh, no I didn't... oh hey, look at that, theres a little gas tank on it(the digital guage), I guess it is low on gas"
LOL, so I brought it home tonight, and never having anything bigger that a '98 Vmax 600 with high miles that I ride, this thing HAULS. It sat me down a couple times along the diteches on the way home, dont worry, I scared myself so I dont go too crazy until I am used to it.
