ive finally got my sled running good. i am going to check my jetting and am wondering how long to hols at 1/2 and wide open to check the needle and mains. how long do you hold for? do you count off in your head like 1,2,3.....? i have put around fifty miles on the current set up but would just like to know for piece of mind. also if i find my jetting (plugs, wash) to look good at say 20"F, how cold does it need to get before its not safe?

well usally around 6-700 feet is good enough, using steady throttle and then with your left hand reach over and hit the kill switch. Keep the throttle at the same exact opening till sled coast to a stop, good for you for wanting to check this.
check low, mid ,and top

x2 but i like to do 600-700 ft and check it. if its good then i go 1/4 mile to let more heat build up then check again.make sure low and mid are good before you try a full throttle test.
