So I finally got home to get my sleds and took the vmax out for the first time. I was fortunate for my dad to let me borrow his 04 Rev 600HO (clutch, vforce reeds, and studs) for new years and me and my buddy lined them up (I had a prediction that the rev was gonna win till about 80-90mph). From a rolling start of about 10mph (I was on the rev) we were sided by side and cracked it at the same time. I was behind about a half a sled then the vmax broke loose and I pulled about 2 sled lenghts right away. We stayed like that till the bottom of they hill when the rev max out around 100-105mph. I guess when we went by the driveway I had about 4 feet on the vmax but it was pulling on the rev and then pop, blew the belt and I won the race. So I pulled back the vmax and looked in to see the damage. Well the belt turned to sheep wool and when it blew it took out the speedometer cable. So now I need to find a cable as well as the part that connects it to the drive for the speedo (not sure what the part is called). Anyways, i was wondering if anyone knows of a place in Canada that has these parts for a decent price. I got the shop to call about a price from yamaha but I haven't heard back, I may go tomorrow and see if I can get some prices from them. I just wasn't sure if there is an aftermarket company that may supply yamaha sleds with cheaper parts and thought I'd ask on here. If anyone can help me out that would be great.
