Stock primary. Secondary has a MAXX roller cover, 64/44 and a Yami white spring (not sure what the wrap was). Hit 8100-then climbed to 8500 but only on hard groomed or hard packed roads. In loose snow or where it couldnt hook it upshifted to hard.
Just for the hell of it I threw in a AC red/white seconday spring (again not sure where I wrapped it) and wow what a difference. Hits 83 then climbs to 8600 and then falls to 8500 and pulls really hard. Awesome backshift and in the fresh 5" last night it did much better in the loose. Obviously that 64 initial with rollers needs a ton of spring and thats prob not the best helix but hey the sheaves were all cool, the r's were good and the backshift was there. Any binding or other issues using Cat Sec springs in the Yami secondary?

Your compromising your clutching efficiency. You have a very steep helix & then your slowing down your shift with a very stiff secondary spring. Thats about the only way you could make that set up work. Not very efficient but it kinda sorta got the job done!

you'll probably notice less top end mphs w/the cat red/white spring. for me, it was too stiff on top end (115 lbs), but would work ok for corner to corner riding or deep snow stuff. for me, the cat yellow became the most efficient and better top mph spring, on my hi-tech roller setup.

I have about 20 Cat yellow springs I think and was gona throw one in this weekend when I head north to put some real miles on it.
I also have a Yami 54/44, silver spring set-up Im gona try out if I can come to grips with spending $45 on the pucks.
