We don't have a whole lot of snow, and the trails are pretty bumpy still so I was going between 10mph and 20mph for most of a ~7mi ride (two-up on my 2000 Vmax 700). The temp light would come on every so often, I'd bounce off the side of the trail or ride up/off a snowbank and the light would go back off for a while.
The track on it is fairly tired -- I'm going to have a almost-new 1" track with 96 studs put on fairly soon, if that will help.
Is it normal for it to heat up at low speed like that, or should I be looking for a problem?

yup that's what's going to happen when your going slow like that your working the engine with out much cooling/snow hitting the coolers.JLee50 said:I was going between 10mph and 20mph for most of a ~7mi ride (two-up on my 2000 Vmax 700).
