For what ever reason I can't seem to get my dads dcs light on his srx to stay off. As soon as you get it to start stretching its legs the light comes on weather your on the lake, road or rail bed. I've tryed different heat ranges of plugs, I got the jetting really close to perfect and we can't seem to figure out why it keeps coming on. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate the help.

your lucky i try to make my light working lolll... well make sure all pv work and they are clean..what is your jetting ? do u still have the original air box ?? make sure to put premium gaz .make sure not to go leaner than stock ...stock jet will already make the light flash sometime so make sure not to lean that tripple more

He always runs 91 octane, has the stock airbox and I'll have to double check the jet size this weekend. Thanxs for the help. do you know what the 2001 stock sizes where by any chance.

YAMAHA CALLS OUT 93 AND THAT WAS 9 YEARS AGO. UREAL!!!!! I,LL TELL YA I GO OUT ON THE LINE AND SAY WITH THE DCS, THIS SLED WOULD OF BURNED DOWN. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Octane certainly will help but as the previous poster indicated, I would try and fix the problem, most likely jetting.

I've had an 02 srx now for 6 years and have run 87 octane many times when Ive had no choice and never really seem much of a difference with the dcs light. I am also considering running fresh 87 fuel over stale premium fuel thats hardly ever purchased anymore.
