Iv'e read more than i care to about this and i know its been talked to death. But my 04 viper with CPR's sets it off any time i hit the throttle hard enough to get it to 9000RPM's on a hard hit. It happened twice today. Here's the thing, i love the response and power of the pipes and i hardly ever hit the throttle hard enought to set it off, i really drive this thing like an old man for the most part. I really just enjoy the ride, family and friends. But it is cool to kick their arrss any time i want  . Am i hurting anything when it goes off?. MY plugs look great and when it goes off it only flickers on then off. Rode it hard today and no overheating or anything else to speak of, just the DCS. Any thoughts on this guys?? Thanks chris

best gas you can get..use it.You may want to up jetting a tad to keep that light off.Mine stays off now.I think all last season it only flickered once.

my wife has an 04 viper er i cut the high test pump gas with about 10% leaded av gas (100LL) I have never seen a dcs light even on long wot runs on lake with me driveing. The bottom line is good gas is the only way to keep the light off. I must also say that it is all stock. Av gas can be had at most small airports for about 4.00 a gallon. It Stays good for a long time over a year if stored in airtight container.

Running 93 octane, best you can find around here. My jetting is PTO, center 160, Mag 162.5. What do you recomend going up to from here. It runs and pulsl perfect other then that occ dcs light. Pliots were 47.5, Pto, cent. 50 Mag.

Yea but if it is or not thats what i have to run in my sleds. What do i do if it isn't? I dont have any way of testing it nor do i care to. I was just wondering about the DCS. I could do octain boosters but then we could fight about that for days again. If i amgoing to run the pipes how do i do it safe and keep the dcs at bay. If not i'll just go back to stock.

the DCS is saving you from denotation. You can try boosters and see what happens also. As for the jetting for your sled, maybe someone with the same sled and setup will chime in and help here. All I know is I solved mine by jetting up and always run premium gas(the best I can find out here.Good luck.

We used to get DCS light quite a bit, set the clutching for more around here, closer to target RPM's, took care of it....because it changes the way the motor has to work.
