a couple things about my 2001 srx. im trying to find out how everyones rear suspension is mine seems to be very hard with not alot of rebound and the sled only sits about 12 inches from the heat exchangers to the garage floor is that the normal sitting hight for the 2001 i herd the rear supspension is the downfall to this sled. i want to make it sit higher and be softer any suggestions? also when styarting my sled from sitting for a day it seems to take forever to start 15 pulls then after riding it starts fine. the choke is working properly carbs are clean and plugs are new is this also normal for this sled.. also looking fro a greese point on the clutch side that i cant seem to find? lol 1 more thing i was looking under my rear end and at the horizontal shock theres to metal peices on each side and they are both bent the same way on both sides of the shock were they bent or is that how they look all the time? hope someone can help thanks alot

Those bars on both sides of the shock are supposed to be straight!
It sounds like you might have to pull your rear skid for repairs. It's pretty common for these NO-ACTION skids to break under hard riding conditions. Low ride height and those bars being bent are good sign that something has let go. Check the bottom mount for the front rear skid shock. Also check the "W Arm" or front swing arm for cracks and other damage.

after you pull and fix your skid then you can adjust you sit in. the suspension should sit at least 1-2" when you sit on it so that you can get the full use of the suspension. remeber they've only got 8" too begin with so they will not sit up like Viper unless you switch to there shocks. the 2 SRX's i have were set way to hard when i bought them. they had no sit in at all and it felt like you were riding on a school bus and bucking all over the place. some people do not take the time to adjust for there weight.
