My sled is a 2002 SRX and had a new track on it when I bought it. Track is a Camoplast Energy pre-drilled with 144studs installed down the middle.

I was at Royal Distributing today and they are selling this track but the listing says to use with a MAXIMUM 100hp sled.

WELL....as you can see I am a little worried as to why?

I know this is a trail track but are they strong enough to hold together on a real sled?????????

WOuld Camoplast actully build a weaker track?????

Does anyone know if I should be worried?????

Thanks

no...I have no problems either....I hope for your sake and mine that it will be ok.

Now, I WAS at the show in Toronto in the fall and I asked one of the guys at the Camoplast booth if it would be ok and he replied by saying they are all built to the same strength and the only gain in going to like a Hacksaw would be traction. Hope this is true.

I Had Heard The Same Thing From A Supplier. So I Went With The
"t Cat/zr700 Track Which Is An .85 Lug. I Live In Norhtern Lower So
Our Snow Is Not So Great At Times And Didn't Want To Loose
Speed Etc.....my Brother Laughed At Me When I Bought This Track
For The Reasons Of Camoplast (junk Junk Junk)my Opinion And
Many Many Reasons And Dollars Why!!! I Also Heard The Same Thing
About Kimpex In This Style.....kimpex States You'll Have The Same
Issues With Ours.....so I Ask Numerous People Who Know There Equipment And Stud On The Outside And Have Not Had A Problem With This One. I Could Go On And On But I'll Stop There...i Just
Wish Yoko Still Made Tracks And I Would Loose Rotational Mass
Some Where Else Since These Things Way A Ton...but A Ton Of Reasons Why I Would Give Any Dollar Amount For A .92 Or .875

If you go on the Yamaha USA site I think it lists the OEM Yoko track in the accessory section. Problem is I think they want like close to $1000 dollars for it.

i would stay away from royal distributing, i have yet to hear good of them. and i think i've tried to get a catalog from them for over a year.

nothing wrong with Royal Dist. service or availability. great place to deal with, catalogue is avialble to view on line. now you may have problems with your customs on your side of the border when you place an order. not sure why you would buy from Canada anyways, you get the parts a lot cheaper then we do.

x2 i've always had good service for royal. and on the camoplast thing ,their tracks are the best thats why all the oem's use them. kimpex and yoko are another story (total crap). if you buy a yamaha ,cat ,pol or doo track you are getting a track that camoplast made for them just at a higher price because of the oem logo on it.

X3 - with the exception of Kimpex. Agreed that the Yoko track is worthless but my Kimpex aggressor has been stellar. Durability has been better than some Camoplasts I've seen but rider abuse has some impact so I won't say the Camoplast isn't better, just saying the two Kimpex tracks I've purchased (one pre-drilled and the aggressor) have held up extremely well.
