bad crank seal

Start the engine, let it warm up and while it's idling spray carburetor cleaner around the crank seals and base gaskets. If the RPM changes, there's your problem.
 
like racing666 said but just small squirts if you drown it the carbs will suck it in and you will get a false reading
 
i use a propane torch to find engine leaks dont light it just turn on and pass around seals and any where air would get in if rpms change theres the problem
