phazer skid
I Just put an exciter!! proaction in my 89 phazer and the little i have ridden it , it works great . I am not sure but i think the vmax had a longer travel version of the exciter!! proaction . If you have both sleds it is easy , if not someone on this site will give you measurements .

Kind of a newbie. What exactly is a sc4 skid? My skid and track is trashed. If it will fit with no mods, I'm all over that. Would this work on a 89 Exciter? Don't mean to jack this thread.
Thanks

We run the OEM Phazer II suspension in 136" version. I just put on New Fox shocks. It rides great. seldom ever bottoms out with an adult riding. For your son it will ride awsome. I would not put in the heavy Proaction, but keep with a hair pin style suspension. The sc style from Doo is light weight and easy to service. Al

Was wondering anyone else put the sc4 skid in there Phazer/ Phazer 2? And I'd there we're any problems?
The SC4 must be a vast improvement in the Phazer. I would like to also do this swap. I thought the Phazer II Rear skid CtoC was 29 3/4". And the SC4 Center to Center was 23 7/16" center to Center. I am unclear how it bolted right in.Did skid have to be partially comprssed to install? Am I missing something or have the incorrect measurements? Any more info regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
any more detail on that SC4 conversion?
I am very interested in converting my 1991 phazer II to the SC4 (or sc10) suspension. Before I acquire either, I was hoping you may have made some more progress with your project. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I think I have most parts from a left over SC4 skid to to do the swap . Next time I am home from work I am going to try to piece all my SC4 parts together and see if this is a doable setup. This along with bolting on some Vmax XT Struts would be a night and day difference. Then theirs those crappy running boards to deal with.... Have a feeling this can get out of hand like some of my other sleds have.
