I just replaced the clutch side piston on my 2002 viper which only had 1000 miles on it. I am suspecting a carb iced up or I sucked in too much powder. I thought I read something you can shut off when riding in powder. I don't have a manual so I am learning about this sled as I go. Any advise?

Your probably thinking of the carb heaters(little black knob on clutch side of head), most people say to leave them off unless your are riding in powder and/or it is very cold out.....I leave mine on instead of messing with it, I don't think it makes much of a difference.

Thanks. I will take a look to see if mine is on or off. Do you run iso in your fuel?

Carb heater was off (didn't know it was there. I think I will leave it on. I can't stay out of the powder. Hopefully my rebuild holds up. Only ran two miles since replacement yesterday.
Thanks for the advise.
Thanks for the advise.
If your going to run a lot of powder, you might consider a pre-filter cover for your air box. It will help keep snow dust from being ingested.
