Took the sled out today working perfect- on the way home noticed a grinding noise coming from the engine. Got home opened chain case cap noticed metal shavings also when applying my brake there is a clunk noise. Any help would be appreciated.

FOR STARTERS I WOULD PULL CHAINCASE COVER AND INSPECT YOUR CHAIN. MIGHT BE OUT OF AJUSTMENT AND IS SCRAPING THE SIDE OF YOUR CASE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Same thing happen with my Phazer beginning of this winter. Yammiegod has a point. If your chain is loose it could be grinding against the case when you apply the brake. When you apply the brake your chain may get some "slack" and rub on the case. Check it asap before you do any big time riding, you don't want to xplode your bearing in your case, it creates one hell of a mess. Good luck!

Adjuster on chain case

I don't know if you noticed, but there is an adjuster nut on the outside of the chaincase for adjusting the slack in the chain. Dang.....I gotta find my owners manual for mine in this house somewhere.
