thstorms......I have been through this first sled blow up thing and it sucks!!!! I can tell you that you want to use OEM stuff here. Yamaha has been known in the industry for years for their engines. If you are going to put it back together I would only use factory stuff. I think I would post some adds in the classifieds for parts you need (oil pump). I would mix my gas 50:1 and makes sure at least for the first tank that you are burning the right amount of oil. Do you have a service manual? If not post an add that you are looking for one on the forum. Don't screw with wiseco pistons and don't bore it out......find some good used jugs that are within yamaha specs and put it back together the right way. I am only speaking from my experience with the rebuilds that I have done and these sleds are still running today!!! Hopefully many more experience people will chime in here......Oh and make sure that when you get parts they are for and from the right sled. Good Luck
