Bought this sled a couple of months ago worked fine right up until today.....was riding it today it was running perfect got back from a short ride( 30 miles) shut it off for about twenty minutes ,started it back up and it seemed like it wasn't working on all three cylinders and only idling at 8 or 900 rpm, give it a little throttle and it still seemed to be running on two cylinders and then as rpm builds it picks the third one up and runs fine as long as you stay on the throttle......what could this be?

Could be a lot of things....I would start with the easy one's like cleaning/adjusting carbs, checking powervalve operation/cleanliness, and go from there.

once you are sure there is fuel getting to the cylinders at idle (make sure the plug for the hole that is not firing is at least wet) change plugs, find out which cylinders is not firing verify the plug wires are good. last check the stator.

x2 Clean carbs first, if the issue is there you don't want to chase other things and burn down the motor in the meantime. Then check/replace plugs. If one is wet it may not be sparking.

if it happens again, next time rotate your plugs one over and try it again. if it runs OK then it might be a carb issue. once you isolate what cylinder is giving you a problem then you can go from there. i would guess that if it is wet then i would check to make sure your spark plug cap is good. then look at your carbs. good luck. like mentioned above it's one or the other ;)!
