well hope you guys dont mind but I have another clutching ?s I got 54/44 helix y-s-l primary spring 4.5 gram rivets in both holes and green secondary spring that was wrapped at 80. So I was trail riding this weekend and still have the low end bog after engagement so my buddy suggested I change the wrap to 60 and it made a difference. But im wondering if I should be running a different primary spring with more engagement, I want the sled to just pull right from engagement! Please help with suggestions, by the way carbs clean and so are pvs.

Ive been reading alot of clutching posts and was wondering if im running too much weight in my primaray should i try a smaller helix? Just wana get my sled set up spot on.

if you have a low end bog i would either be wrapping your secondary tighter or taking weight out of the inner hole on your primary. and you said by loosening up the secondary it seemed to help, but that doesnt make any sence at all, it should of made it shift out quicker and made the bog even worse. make sure the secondary is clean and not sticking. i had this happen to me and it was like i was starting out in 3rd gear because the damn thing wasnt returning all the way

well my buddy who has alot of experience on yamahas thought that maybe my sled couldnt pull all that weight and before my secondary was at 70 but had less midrange so tightened it to 80 which helped then we backed it down to 60 this past wknd. the setup im running is a proven setup that alot of people on here supposedly swear by and the setup includes 4.5 gram rivets in both holes and my primaray weights are stock. So my secondary could be sticking? Also before we changed the wrap I noticed that two of the bolts on secondary had mysteriously loosened themselves up!

SLED FELT BETTER BECAUSE DECRESEING SECONDARY TWIST LOWERED YOUR RPM. 41-4500 AREA IS NICE FOR ALL AROUND USE ON A SRX. 3:16 (yammie tony)

If you cannot find anything with the clutches wrong and it seems this is a tried and true setup start checking your machine. Chipped reed valves could cause a low end bog. Also check your Pilot jets aren't plugged OR the wrong size.

IF YOU DON,T HAVE '' ROCKET OUT OF THE HOLE '' OR INSTANT THROTTLE RESPONSE, IT COULD BE TOO RICH CARB SETTING. WITH A 4000 ENGAGEMENT, DON,T GO ANY LOWER. GIVE YOUR CARBS GOOD LOOK OVER. LET ME TELL YA POWERVALVE MOTORS ALL HAVE GREAT THROTTLE RESPONSE BASISLY AT ANY ENGAGEMENT, IF EVERYTHING ELSE IS OK. 3:16 (yammie tony)
