impeller

Hey guys i just put an engine back together , impeller was mangled , new shaft bearings, etc....

question is , even if i flush the coolant with a pump , how ccan i ensure that there is no other impeller pieces that will flow thru eventually/ Should i try installing a strainer in the hose going to the red head or a cheese cloth ? and run the engine for a bit ?

what do ya think?

done work in 1hr , then gonna drop that engine in

back flushing it should get all the peices out. i think all the small ones would have already worked their way through and all the large ones will be at the left side cooler inlet. could always run with a magnet in the coolant tank for all the steel debris.
