04 viper plug question

Last year i had two srx 700's-(2001 and 2002)
Both of them called for br9ecs plugs.
My new 04 viper says to run br9es,I was told that the br9ecs plugs are better to run,especially on long lake runs with the srx.
My question is why dont they recommend this plug for the viper?

If it makes you feel better about long wfo runs, then you can run that plug in your viper as well. Not sure why they didnt recommend the ecs for the viper, but it could be any number of things.
