Can someone give me a starting point for a set of these weights as to how to load them up for a stock 700 redhead, stock gearing and helix?A bud bought them for his sled and asked me to put them in for him and I don't recall any info in the box with the weights which usually gives a chart for them.

Honestly, I'd try them empty and see what it does. I know in my 780 that I didn't have to run much weight in them to get it where it is supposed to be and I'm pretty sure it makes more power than a stock redhead.

I talked with Randy the developer of these weights and he said with the standard 40-10's you mainly load the heel and leave the other holes empty. So this kinda echo's what Ryan said about about the 2 stage which are a more aggressive weight.I'd love to try heel clickers, but I should probably stud up first as more power to the track is going to just aggrevate the traction problem I already have.Pro 116 has told me there definetely worth it on the redhead engines even stock.

When you say load the heel what are we talking here for weight 5 grams or so?I think that is what the heel is in my 2nd gen ones in my SRX but not sure what the redhead engine will like for weight.

Try them empty first. I'm guessing it will be pretty close. I doubt you will need any tip weight and very little in the heel. They don't tune the same as the non-pivoting ones in my experience anyway. Same concept, but it needs a different approach. This is assuming you are using the red spring. I have no experience using them with the gray.

The only spring that came with the kit is the gray one, sorry I should have mentioned this before. He bought the kit new from Royal Distributing but I'm not sure why there is only the one spring, mine came with both and if it's any easier to tune with I can put in an spare red spring I have in place of the gray one.

The gray one will need less weight than the red one would. I'd still try them empty since it's so easy to adjust the heel and that is where you are going to be adding weight. I think I'm running the smallest bolt in the tip on my 780 srx motor. What is that 2 grams or something?
