Hi guys!
(first a little offtopic)
Last week I pulled the skid to replace all the bearings in the small idler wheels and the slides. So I did, but I also found out that all the larger wheel-bearings were shot. But I put the skid back in cause we got about 80cm of powder in the end of last week, so we went riding and it was a blast.
But, yesterday I pulled the skid again, removed the arms from the skid and brought them to work, pressed the wheels of. The only wheel that had replaceable bearings was the center rear wheel. Which basically means that you have to replace the whole wheel in order to get the bearing replaced.
But I`m on a low budged (working as an apprentice) so I put the wheels in the lathe, removed the plastic that prevented me from removing the bearing and made a groove for a circlip.
I did this to all four wheels and was a great success!
--------------------------
Anyway, tonight when I put my skid back in I noticed that the rear suspension on my sled seemed very soft.
If I put my hand on the rear bumber, it will slowly go down until I can see that the (oh what is it called, the iron rods placed infront of the rear wheels, with a white plastic bushing on, these move up and down) bottoms out, is this right?
Sorry for now coming up with a proper description!
Anyone have a clue?
