My srx was setup to drag by previous owner, was wondering on spring length in the rear , i can not get any top gap in the transfer rods, nothing is bent or cracked, had the skid out, is it all in adjustments?

Do a search: BETHEVIPER suspension setup sticky in tech FAQ and follow all the steps. If you still have the issue something must be bent or broken or rear shock may need rebuild.

What year sled? If 00-02 he may have moved rods to rear holes in rails to keep skis on ground,,, less transfer.....

190mm Front (7.48") preloaded per manual
306mm Rear (12.05") preloaded per manual

Sounds like you have to increase the preload of the rear shock. With the FRA in the middle position, I set my rear shock which was just rebuilt and revalved by Pioneer with about 1.5 inches of threads showing on the rear shock, front skid shock just tight enough so I can just twist it with the weight of the sled on it, and one inch of threads showing above the limiter strap mounting bracket.

Keep in mind that I changed most all of my skid bushings and it is tight like new. I would like to think that you should be close to 50/50 gap sitting on the sled with these settings.

yes i have a 50/50 gap until i sit on the sled then all the gap is on the bottom. i have quite a bit of preload on the rear spring and my front spring is at 0 preload.
